Rick Cushman

Licensed Funeral Director

In addition to being a Licensed Funeral Director, Rick is also a Certified Funeral Service Practioner (CFSP), a designation that recognizes funeral service professionals who complete specified academic and professional programs. He attended the University of North Dakota and North Dakota State University, graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1980, and has been a co-owner of Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home since 1981. Rick has lived in Cooperstown since 1970. He and his wife, Tammy, who is Business Manager for Griggs County Central School District, have three daughters, Katie, Kelcey, and Abbey. Rick serves as Secretary for the Cooperstown Fire Department and is the Girl's Golf Coach for GCCHS. He enjoys fishing, hunting, and golfing.




Irene Mork

Aftercare Coordinator

Irene has been involved with Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home since 2002. Previous to joining the funeral home, she was the Outreach Worker for Griggs County Senior Citizens for twelve years and brings a wealth of experience in working with bereaved families.

Irene and her husband Jim live in Cooperstown, and have five children and ten grandchildren.




Truley Trautman

Grief Care Coordinator

A lifetime of community involvement and service has marked the career of Truley A. Trautman, our Grief Care Coordinator. Truley was the Administrative Assistant/Office Manager for Griggs County Central School for 44 years. Upon retiring, she worked at the Griggs County Public Library. Truley’s career also has given her an opportunity to serve others through organizations such as PEO since 1999 and Lay Ministry since 2004, receiving certification as a Synod Authorized Minister (SAM) for the Eastern ND Synod in December of 2018. Truley has been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for 46 years, participating in WELCA, Bible Study, and church choir, as well as serving as a worship assistant, confirmation teacher and mentor, and Sunday School teacher for more than 25 years.




Jim Mork

Funeral Assistant

Jim has been involved at the funeral home as a funeral assistant since 1993. He is a Veteran and retired postmaster.

Jim and his wife, Irene live in Cooperstown, and have five children and ten grandchildren.




Jerry Ronningen

Funeral Assistant

Jerry joined Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in 1998. He is a Veteran and retired ASCS Director.

Jerry and his wife, Ina, live in Cooperstown, and have three grown children, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
