Almira J. (Peterson) Anderson Almira Janet (Peterson) Anderson was born on March 27, 1918, on a farm by Clifford, ND, and passed away at the age of 95 on August 28, 2013. She resided in Fargo, Hatton, Hope, Luverne and Mayville, ND, near her granddaughter Kim (Rob) Lauf. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. at the Luther Memorial Home, Mayville, ND, in the chapel. Visitation one hour prior. Burial in Luverne, ND, at 1 p.m. Al was the daughter of John and Christine Haagenson. She married Arthur Peterson in 1936. They had three children, Janice (Snooze) Lewis of Castle Rock, CO; John (Renee) Peterson of Grand Forks, ND, and Ronald (Della) Peterson, Fargo, ND. Arthur (Archie) passed away in 1982. She married Ed Anderson from Luverne, ND, in 1983. She was preceded in death by her husbands; her children Janice and John (Sonny); son-in-law, Snooze, and two sisters, Lorinda Haagenson and Ruby Brandenburg. She is survived by her son Ron, eight grandchildren, ND, 15 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation for the many years of tender, loving care provided by the staff at Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, as well as the staff of Hospice. While living in Fargo she walked several miles a day to and from work. She will long be remembered by many in the community for her frequent walks to Alco and Paula’s with her walker, wearing her favorite cap; and for her requests for rides as she grew tired.
