ARNE HAALAND Arne Haaland age 73, of Frazee MN passed away peacefully in his home on July 10, 2018. Arne was born September 26, 1944 in Stavanger, Norway to his parents Paula Skadberg and Irwin Haaland. On March 11, 1960 Arne along with his parents and siblings immigrated to America where they settled in Cooperstown, ND. Arne went to school long enough to learn English and then went to work on the Lunde Farms. In 1966 Arne started working for Reiten Manufacturing in Cooperstown. On June 10th, 1967 Arne married his wife of 50 years DIana Sandvik. In late 1967 Arne was promoted to Sales Manager with Melroe where he continued his career as District Sales Manager for over 33 years selling the Spray Coupe and Bobcat. Arne received numerous award for his excellence in Sales. After retiring twice with Bobcat he finally began his retirement in 1999. Arne enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing and traveling. Arne is survived in death by his children Nathan (Tasha) Haaland, Valley City, and Kara (Wade) McDonald, Frazee, MN along with 6 Grand Children and 3 Great Grandchildren. Arne was preceeded in Death by his wife Diana Kay Haaland, his parents, Brothers- in-law, Mark VerValin and Wayne Sandvik, nephews, Roy Haaland Craig Sandvik, great niece Cassidy Joy Andel, step father, Richard Ellefson and sister- in- law Sharon Haaland . Visitation will be Monday, July 16, 2018 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cooperstown, ND followed by A Memorial Service at 1:30 pm. Interment will be in the Cooperstown Cemetery, Cooperstown, ND. A light lunch will be served in Honor of Arne at the Coachmen Inn following interment.
