BETSY (BETTY) SAMPSON Betsy (Betty) Sampson, 104, Fargo, ND passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND. Betty was born September 3, 1910 near Finley, ND the daughter of Lewis and Anna (Nelson) Sampson. She was the 11th of 14 children. She grew up and attended school in the Finley area and was baptized and confirmed in the Ostervold Lutheran Church, rural Finley, ND. During World War II, Betty worked for Lockheed Aircraft in California. She was affectionately known to her family as “Rosie the Riveter” at that time. When she retired she moved to Fargo, ND and in 2008 she entered The Evergreens. She loved music and especially loved to play piano. Betty is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by eight brothers and five sisters. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10:30 am in the Ostervold Lutheran Church, rural Finley, ND. Visitation will be one hour before services in the Church. Interment will be in the Ostervold Cemetery, rural Finley, ND.
