Grandma, I am so glad you are not suffering any longer. I can’t thank you enough for helping begin my Christian Faith, and instilling in me so many values I hold with pride today. I will never forget the sleep overs, the special play houses you had prepared when I would show up for a sleep over. One in the barn, one under the evergreen tree... under the evergreen is where we made our mud pies. You had patience to teach me to cook and bake, the love to sing “I’ve got the joy down in my heart” on cassette tape down a gravel road in a white Buick, and encourage me to follow the Lord wherever He may take me. I hope today you are looking down and can see where that road took me and you understand and are proud. Your brown sugar frosted chocolate cake, and a perfectly set holiday table, what was not to love celebrating at Grandma’s house? You fixed up the outdoor living room and kitchen where we had so much fun gathering with family. And to end the perfect sleepover you would make the most delicious orange soda float and sing me to sleep. We spent a lot of time together, and I will cherish the memories forever. I love you, Grandma Marcy.
