RAYMOND NELSON Raymond Nelson, 95 of Cooperstown, ND passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011 in the Cooperstown Medical Center Hospital, Cooperstown, ND. Raymond Nelson was born January 23, 1916 in Helena Twsp, Griggs Co., ND the son of Nels and Dora (Peterson) Nelson. He grew up and attended school in Griggs County. Ray married Lucille Wells October 28, 1943 in Moorhead, MN. The couple farmed near Revere, ND until they retired. The couple continued to make their home in the farm until 2001 when they moved into Cooperstown. Lucille passed away March 18, 2003; Ray continued to make his home in Cooperstown, ND. Ray enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, trapping and driving the county side looking at the crops. He is survived by a son, Ronald of Los Angeles, CA; a daughter, Lois (Orin) Score, Hudson, WI; a sister Dora Pratt, Fargo, ND; three grandchildren, Paul (Nicole Rose) Score, Jill (John) Sobota, and John (Jessica) Score; eleven great-grandchildren, Dylan Score, Devin Score, Noah Sobota, Gabrielle Sobota, JoHanna Score, Ava Score, Sophia Sobota, Alec Score, Addison Sobota, Carson Score and Victoria Sobota. Ray was proceeded in death by his parents; wife Lucille; brothers, Robert and Leslie; sisters Carrie and Polly.
