RUTH I. SIMENSON Ruth I. Simenson, 94, Cooperstown, ND died Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in the Griggs County Care Center, Cooperstown, ND. Ruth I Simenson, was born October 7, 1919, the daughter of Emil and Anna (Hanson) Simenson in Washburn Township, Griggs County, ND, where she grew up. Ruth worked from a young age at the Red Owl Store, as a cashier, and later as a secretary at a local insurance company. Ruth enjoyed just listening to people, bird watching, and planting flowers. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents Emil and Anna , one sister, Lillie Simenson, two brothers, Roy Simenson and Art Simenson, a half- brother, Earl Simenson, and one nephew, Jerry Simenson. Ruth is survived by; one nephew, Rod (Denise) Simenson; niece –in-law; Bonnie (Jerry) Simenson, five great nieces and nephews and five great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be, Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be Monday, June 2, 2014 from 3:00 till 5:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home, Cooperstown, ND. Interment will be in the Cooperstown Cemetery, Cooperstown, ND.
