DAVID H. IHRY DAVID H. IHRY, 75, Hope, ND died Tuesday, February 8, 2012 in the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND, where he had been a resident since January 25, 2012. Dave was born April 19, 1936 in Hope, ND the son of James and Harriet (McCellian) Ihry. He grew up and attended school in Hope. He entered the US Army in 1955 and served until 1957. He returned to the Hope area. Dave married Jane Platt September 1, 1959 in Ada, MN. The couple made their home in Hope. Dave worked for area farmers. He loved farming and fixing old tractors, he had fond memories of all their trips which included 38 states. Dave is survived by his wife Jane, Hope, ND; two children, Heather (Bryan) Carlson, Fargo, ND, Dwight (Carol) Ihry, Hitterdal, MN; nine grandchildren, Chase, Louise, Heather, Nathan; two brothers, James, Pelican Lake, MN, Jeff, Hope, ND; one sister, Phyllis (Joe) Papin, Wickenburg, AZ. Preceded in death by his parents; sister-Kathryn Ihry; son-in-law- Wesley Vigen; brother-Donald; sister-in-law-Betty Ihry ; nephew-Jay. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Hope American Legion Hall, Hope, ND. Arrangements entrusted to Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home, Cooperstown, ND.
