PEARL L. GROVER Pearl L. Grover 93, Hannaford, ND died Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. Pearl Lucille Grover was born October 11, 1921, in Hannaford, ND the daughter of George and Nora (Moren) Bjor. She grew up and attended school in Hannaford, ND and graduated in 1940. She married John (Bud) Grover June 19, 1942. They made their home in Hannaford. John passed away in 1998. She married William Bothwell in March 2001. They also made their home in Hannaford. Wayne passed away in 2006. Pearl moved to the Legacy Place in Valley City in May of 2012 where she resided until her death. Pearl worked for the Telephone Company, Knauss Mercantile, Walum Café and cooked and baked for Stri-King Lanes in Hannaford for 37 years. She loved to bake and was well known for her homemade candies, cookies, pastries and brownies. She always made plenty for her family and always delivered some to friends and neighbors. She also loved to clean her house. One friend jokingly called her house The White House because it was so clean, painted white inside and out with not a speck of dust to be found. She was also a great shopper. A fun day for her was a day at the mall where she loved shopping for clothes always looking for bright colored outfits with jewelry and shoes to match. She loved to dress up, dance, play cards and rock in her rocking chair. Its been said she could rock so fast in her rocker she sometimes ended up across the room. Pearl loved having her family around and so enjoyed when the grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to visit. She loved going to all their school activities especially the basketball and baseball games where she sometimes cheered too loudly. Pearl was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church where she served on the church council and was a member of the Martha Circle. She was also a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by son; John (Sharon) Grover, Hannaford, ND; daughters: Kathy (Lyonel) Erickson, Hannaford, ND, Nancy (Bryan) Wiger, Siesta Keys, FL; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, sister-in-law, Annabelle Stover, Alexandria, VA and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Bjor and Johnnie Bjor; sisters, Sara Fliflet and Mary Ann Haugen. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Faith Lutheran Church, Hannaford, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be Wednesday at 7:00 in the Funeral Home. Interment will be 4:30 pm Thursday in Memory Gardens, Valley City, ND.
