GLEN R. PLAISTED Glen R. Plaisted, 90, Cooperstown, ND formerly of Finley, ND died Sunday, August 30, 2015 in the Griggs County Care Center, Cooperstown, ND . Glen Ralph Plaisted was born May 20, 1925 in Breckinridge, MN the son of Olaf and Carrie (Auman), he grew up and attended school in Minot, ND. Glen served in the US Navy during WW II in the south pacific. After being discharged he moved to Pillsbury, ND where he and his brother Lyle owned and operated the Pillsbury Bar . He married Beverly McKay April 11, 1947 in Moorhead, MN. The couple moved to Indianapolis, IN where Glen received his degree in Mortuary Science. In 1950 they moved to Valley City, ND where Glen worked for Peterson-Olson Funeral Home. In 1951 the couple moved to Vancouver, WA and in 1953 to Jamestown, ND where he worked for Peterson Funeral Home. July 1, 1959 the couple moved to Finely, ND and purchased the E.E. Boe Funeral Home. Glen and Selmer Quam began working together and in 1965 they combined the Cooperstown and Finley. Selmer retired in 1974 and Glen became sole owner. Glen retired in 1981. The couple winter in Apache Junction, AZ and spent their summers on Golden Lake. Bev passed away August 14, 1999. Glen married Dolores Mathisen June 16, 2002. The couple wintered in Apache Junction and spent their summers in Cooperstown, ND. He is survived by his wife, Dolores, Cooperstown, ND; two daughters, Penny (Roger) Damlo, Burnsville, MN, Lori (Brian) Baglien,, Grand Forks, ND; three grandchildren, Stephanie (John) Marlow, W. St. Paul, MN, Nicholas (Dana) Hagen, Bloomington, MN and Travis (Lindsey) Hagen, Watertown, MN, five great grandchildren, Wyatt, Jackson, Jameson, Cohen and Everly; sister, Beverly Masog. Glen was preceded in death by his parent; wife, Beverly, three brothers, Lyle, Gerald and Richard. Funeral services will be Friday, September 4, 2015 at 10:30 am in St. George’s Catholic Church in Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 5:00 till 7:00 in St. George’s Catholic Church, Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be Thursday at 7:00 pm in the church. Interment will be Friday, September 4, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Finley Cemetery, Finley, ND.
