To the Askegard family, so sorry to here about the passing of your dad and my friend ( Donnie) I have lots of fine memories of your dad! My brother Don worked for your dad and we would pick up cream cans so your dad could process the milk and cream.l remember checking eggs and helping your dad make butter in 2 pound rolls. My favorite memory was about 1958 or 59 your dad, brother Don, David and l, drove to Grand Forks to the old field house to watch the Harlem Globetrotters, what a fun time that was! Your dad was such a kind and gentle man.My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of your loss. Steve and Pam Storebo

To Dave Dan Mary Jo and families. I am sorry to hear of Don's passing. Having lived down the street we spent a lot of time in his basement playing pool with Dan. He was always a very nice and friendly man to all. One memory I have is when I went to the dairy with my dad to sell him our cream and he showed me the butter churn they used there. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Neal

Don was a fine man! Always seemed to have a smile on his face. He was a wonderful father who spent time with his children, I remember many outings that I got to go on those outings with them! Our world needs more Don Askegard's! He will be missed, but more importantly, he will be remembered!

My deepest sympathy for the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. He was such a sweet man. One of the highlights of my daughter Christine's childhood was catching a ride with Don on the milk truck from the café at the Farmers Oil to school in the morning. We were blessed to have him for a friend.
