Florence and family, to read this obituary was a blessed experience. Mr. Johnson was superintendent when I was in HS in Turtle Lake. A very impressive administrator! Bless his memory, my sympathies to you.
Art was my daughter's father-in-law it has been my pleasure to have gotten to know Art and Flo, his kind, wonderful wife over the years. Gary would often talk about his father's love and interest in the Minnesota Twins games, his grandchildren, great grandchildren and of course his Griggs County museum.

My sympathy to all of your families! Mr Johnson was the superintendent in Turtle Lake - we have many fond memories of him and his role as Superintendent here. He was a kind and fair man. Dennis & I visited A.K and Florence at the nursing home in Bismarck a couple of years ago - they both shared some of their good times in Turtle Lake and of the people they remembered from here. Blessed be the memory of A.K. Johnson!
I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to the family of Arthur Johnson. He was a caring person who dedicated his life to the education of future generations. While serving as Hannaford School Superintendent, he played a very pivotal role in my career. His knowledge of the sciences coupled with an innate ability to teach and inspire High School Students contributed immensely to my success as a Research Scientist at a government nuclear laboratory. Willard Hareland, Ph.D. Class of 1958
Just a note to extend my sympathy to your family. AK was superintendent when i was a high school student in Turtle Lake. Such a nice man.....enjoyed reading about his life, and the connection to Nancy, my neighbor! May fond memories keep him close at heart always!
A. K.(as we all called him, but not to his face). We respected him so much that at school he was Mr. Johnson. He was the best teacher I ever had and am so glad I had the opportunity to tell him so a few years ago. Sincere condolences to members of his family.
Mr Johnson was my high school superintendant, he was a very fair man, good disciplinarian and a very good teacher as well. A.K. made me feel like I was his friend and I admired him a lot. My condolences to his family, sorry I can't be at his funeral. Chuck Hetland (Dianne also)
My heartfelt sympathies go out to your entire family. AK was my Superintendent when I went to school in Carrington back in the seventies and whenever he saw you he always had a friendly greeting for you. You'd see him at every sporting event. My prayers and greetings are with you all!! Randy
My sympathy to the family. I was a teacher at Underwood from 1976-1981 and mr. Johnson was one of my superintendents. He was a kind and caring educator.
