JANICE E. SOLFIELD Janice E. Solfield, 83, Cooperstown, ND died Thursday, October 25, 2018 in the Eventide Nursing Home, Fargo, ND. Janice Eileen Solfield was born October 8, 1935 in Cooperstown, ND the daughter of Herman and Thelma (Eide) Solfield. She grew up and attended school in Cooperstown, graduating from Cooperstown High School in 1953. She attended Valley City State Teachers College, where she received her teaching degree. She taught for three years in rural Griggs County. She worked for Farmers and Merchants Bank in Cooperstown and also sold insurance she retired in 1996. She was active in golf, bowling, horseshoes as well as quilting for the church. She is survived by her sister, Carol (Leon) Roesler, Leonard, ND; brother-in-law, James Lura, Valley City, ND; three nephews, Mark Lura, Trent Roesler, Troy Roesler; three nieces, Denise Childs, Janel Bannister, Sandra Kantola; eight grandnieces and nephews and one great grandnephew. Proceeded in death by her parents, brother, Bernard and sister, Dorothy Lura. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Cooperstown, ND.
