Yes, Michelle & Jake.... Klondike was her favorite ice cream bar ! I think she always had some on hand ! I know you remember Daddy's practical jokes...and we won't discuss them here as they are trade secrets and need to be played on our younger generations yet.... but she played her practical jokes too. Once when I was 10 or so, I had been watching the Saturday nite scary movie on tv, and she snuck outside, put a nylon over her head and rapped on the picture window at the farm and scared me silly....not sure if it was her idea or Daddy's...... She kept her good humor throughout her life, I remember more laughter than sorrow; she never complained, even though she surely had the increasing pain that comes from old joints, etc, never complained about her decreasing eyesight and hearing. In fact, she kept her sharp wit until the last. I recently asked her how she was feeling, she tilted her head to me and wiggled her fingers and said " well... with my fingers, of course ! " Now I believe she is in paradise with her family and friends and somehow I also picture some egg coffee, homemade buns with cheese whiz and a sliced olive on top, some red jello with fruit in it and for sure a deck of cards.
