HAZEL FRITZ Hazel M. Fritz, 92 died Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Griggs County Care Center, Cooperstown, ND, where she had resided since 2003. Hazel was born March 19, 1920 to Torkel and Agnes (Olson) Anderson, Cooperstown, ND. She grew up and attended school in Cooperstown and graduated from Cooperstown High School and then attended Wahpeton State School of Science for two years. She married Leo Fritz July 28, 1943 in Cooperstown. She spent a large part of her life on the family farm as a housewife and mother. In 1967 they moved to Cooperstown where she worked as the hospital. In 1972 she started as Griggs County Deputy treasure until she retired in 1996. She is survived by daughters; Linda (Woody) Vareberg, Burnsville, MN, Alice (Roger) Schilke, Cooperstown, ND; son, Thomas, Minneapolis, MN; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. A Memorial Services will be held Friday, September 28. 2012 at 2:30 am in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND. Interment will be in the Cooperstown Cemetery.
