KERMIT ENGEN Gilman KERMIT Engen was born January 15, 1933 in Steele County, ND. The son of Conrad and Lillian (Severson) Engen. He had 4 siblings Conrad (Elaine) Engen, surviving, and Norma, Hazel, and Charles which preceded him in death. Kermit served his country proudly in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged, he returned to the Finley-Sharon area where he married the love of his life Ilene Dronen. Together they had three sons; Rick, Sharon, ND, Darrin, Minnesota, Bari, Aneta, ND; grandchildren, Jesseca Engen, Brandon Engen, Leah Armstrong, Brady Engen and several great grandchildren. Kermit loved talking about life on the farm with Ilene. He enjoyed the country western music of his day. In later years, he enjoyed scraping with his brother, Charles and son, Bari. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:30am in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Chapel in Finley, ND. Interned that day with Ilene in the Finley Cemetery, with military honors conducted by the American Legion, Finley, ND. To send a flower arrangement or to plant trees in memory of KERMIT G.
