To Mark, Shawn, Kelly, and family, So sorry to here of your loss! Sandy was such a sweet lady! I did not know that she was a cook at Hope school for 17 years. My mom was a cook there for many years and also retired from that job. I remember getting together with you Mark and Sandy over at at Lee and Darcy Jacobsen’s farm home years ago and had such a great time! We will all miss Sandy a lot!!

Dear Mark, Shawn, Kelly, and family, It has been a while since I last saw all of you, but I was so saddened to hear of Sandy’s passing. While many years have gone by since we have been together in person, my heart is with you. I don’t have a huge extended family, but when I do think of my family you are such a huge part of my memories and were such a big part of my childhood. Mark and Sandy always welcomed us “out-of-town” Salanders with open arms, a table of food, and a game of cards. I will always remember that and will treasure my childhood visits with you. My love and hugs to you all at this time and always.

Mark and family, so sorry for the loss of your dearest wife, mom, daughter and friend - Sandy. Seems so long ago we were all together in school at Hope, but Sandy's smile and friendliness has not faded in my/our memories of her. No doubt her years in the kitchen at HHS were filled with much joy as she served all the kids her favorite foods! Mark, I was glad I could see the 2 of you after the Bison game in Fargo a couple years ago. Sandy's fun filled life and smile hadn't changed a bit! May the Lord comfort you all at this time, with His unending love. Rick

I can’t recall the year, but remember the day of walking into class and finding a new girl had come! Sandy always had a great smile and caring attitude, even at that young age! As we got older there she was always prepared for everything and anything with extra paper, sharpened pencils, extra pens and the ANSWERS!! Always a team player. I can imagine she was more of a friend than a cook at the school. So sorry to her family and friends. She will be missed.

The Halda family is sending our deepest sympathy to all of the family and friends who knew and loved Sandy. Sandy was my first cousin. Sandy was always so kind, full of energy, hard working, and loved life! Always a smile on her face! I have fond memories of the Hofer cousins getting together for the holidays! Lots of food and laughter! Will always remember her genuine spirit and beautiful smile! We love you ❤️
