BARRY BRENDEMUHL Barry Lee Brendemuhl, 57, Hope, ND died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in Henderson, NV. Barry was born August 3, 1955 in Cooperstown, ND the son of Leonard and Zelda (French) Brendemuhl. He grew up and attended school in Hope, ND and graduated from Hope High School in 1973. He attended college in Wahpeton and Bottineau for Forestry. On March 21, 1981 he married Patricia Johnson at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND. He worked for Butler Machinery in Fargo before moving to Hope, ND where he worked for Joe’s Electric and shortly thereafter partnered with Joe McCullough and opened Hope Electric and later Barry started BLB Enterprises. He served as President of the Hope Park Board for many years, Redeemer Lutheran Church Council, Hope EDC Board, Sons of the Legion, and Sportsman Club. He loved hunting with friends and sons-in-law and spending time with family at his lake home. He loved golfing and was the key component in the Grass Green Project at the Hope Golf Course. He was a big asset to the Hope community and was always very generous and giving. He loved animals. He was impatiently awaiting the arrival of his 2 grandchildren due to arrive in April and October. Barry could recite the alphabet back words; quote any line from Seinfeld and was huge family man, very intelligent. His love for his family was worn on his sleeve, but his immense love for his 2 girls was obvious at all times. He is survived by his wife Patricia Brendemuhl, Hope, ND; daughters, Brittany (Chris) Thomspon, Fargo, ND, Tiffany (Dan) Ellenson, Fargo, ND; Siblings Scott Brendemuhl, Fountain Hills, AZ, Nick (Janee) Brendemuhl, Hope, ND, Roxy (Joe) Fuglestad, Hope, ND, Lisa (Neil) Flaten, Fargo, ND, Stacy (Mark) Jacobsen, Luverne, ND, Mother-in-law Edith Johnson-Hope, ND and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews whom he adored; brothers-in-law, H. Dean (Patty) Johnson, Fargo, ND, Ketih (Mark Camper) Johnson, Scottsdale, AZ; grand puppy, Chewie and cats Oreo and Mocha. He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Zelda Brendemuhl and father-in-law, Harvey Johnson. Funeral services will be Friday, March 29, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Hope School. Visitation will be Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 6:00 till 7:00 in the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hope, ND and continue one hour before services in the school. A Prayer Service will be Thursday at 7:00 pm in the Church. In lieu of flowers the family would like memorials to go the Hope Park District or Redeemer Lutheran Church.
