To Tina and the rest of the family, we are deeply saddened by the loss of this wonderful man! We know how kind and gentle he was and he demonstrated that to us when we visited during the death of Bruce's brother Ben. Our prayers are with you during this sad time!
Judy, Jay, Tina and Families: My condolences and sympathies to all of you in the loss of Nordeen. He was an amazingly hard worker and cared a great deal about his family. My father, Roy Haugtvedt, worked with Nordeen on the Olson farm in the 50's. It was also clear that he cared a great deal for his country and the City of Finley.
A more honest & hardworking man you would ever want to know. The guidance he provided to family, friends and co-workers was always done from a place deep within him that believed in being up front, open and honest. In his later years he became very close to all his kids and his grandchildren. They could count on him to let them "help" in the yard or fixing on things. I so appreciate the 40 years he was married to my mom Judith & for creating a good life for her and caring for her as she got older. Nordeen - you are in a better place and the rewards for all you've done here on earth have now been bestowed upon you.
I am so sorry to hear that Nordeen passed away. I would like to express my deepest sympathies to his entire family. I vividly remember when I was elected the ND State American Legion Commander and got a little long thanking everyone and it was a stern look form Nordeen that made me realize I needed to cut it shorter. My wife and I, and the ND Past Department Commanders Club will each be making a memorial donation in Nordeen's memory to the ND American Legion Foundation. Don Herrly, Secretary/Treasurer ND Past Department Commanders Club
I helped take care of Nordeen when I worked in Mayville. He was a wonderful man, full of life and laughter. My prayers for God's comfort and blessings are with you. Jeremiah Penn
Diane, Terry, Jeff and Tina and families, Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. May God hold all of you in the palm of his hand. Cherish the wonderful memories. Gary and Janet
