OLGA PELLA Olga Maria Pella, 95, Cooperstown, ND, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Cooperstown Medical Center Nursing Home, Cooperstown, ND. Olga was born August 7, 1915 in Santiago de, Cuba, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Erickson Olga returned to the United States in 1920 after the death of her father. Her family then made their home in Chicago, IL. In 1924 they moved to a farm in Steele County. In 1933 they moved to Hope, ND, where she graduated from Hope High School. Olga married Bernard Pella on September 22, 1937 in Jessie, ND. The couple lived and farmed south of Cooperstown. In 1996 she moved to the Cooperstown Assisted Living Apartments. In January of 2008 she moved to the Cooperstown Medical Center Nursing Home. Olga was a member of St. George Catholic Church. She was active in her circle, homemakers club, birthday club, loved gardening, fishing, and spending time at their cabin at Lake Ashtabula. She is survived by daughters, JoAnn Hagle, Beverly Ellefson, Cooperstown, ND; Carol (LeRoy) Taxdahl, Sedro Wolley, WA; son James (Dian) Pella, Cooperstown, ND; eleven grandchildren, Pamela Rolle, Fargo, ND; Scott (Stacy) Hagle, West Fargo, ND; Brent (Becky) Ellefson, Cooperstown, ND; Brenda, (Chris) Domeier, Appleton, MN; Kevin (Sherry) Taxdahl, Sedro Wolley, WA; Keith (Susan) Taxdahl, Concrete, WA; Linda Taxdahl, Buckeye, AZ; Tony (Sophia) Taxdahl, Concrete, WA; Michael (Lenora) Pella, Fargo, ND; Tim (Annette) Pella, Idaho Falls, ID; Kent Pella, Walhalla, ND; twenty great grandchildren, Daniel and Darrin Rolle, Alex and Abby Hagle, Aubrey, Marissa, and Taylor Ellefson, Ashley and Austin Domeier, Kimberly (Travis) Hix and Michael Taxdahl, Justin Taxdahl, Colton, Dalton and Jace Taxdahl, Brooke and Mandy Pella, Anthony and Kelsey Pella, Brandon Pella; and two great great grandchildren, Jacob Rolle and Elijah Berens; brother Edward (Mabel) Larson, Kissimmee, FL, sister-in-law, Elaine Carlson, Grand Rapids, MN and many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by her parents John Erickson and Elizabeth (Erickson) Larson, step father Emil Larson, husband Bernard Pella, infant twin brother Algot Anders Erickson, sons-in-law, Andy Hagle and Terry Ellefson, and granddaughter, Patty Hagle. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 10:00 am in St. George Catholic in Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be held Friday, May 20, 2011 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be held Friday at 7:00 pm in the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the St. George Cemetery, Cooperstown, ND.
